Mladen Obradović (Artistic Director)

Mladen Obradović is an actor, director, drama teacher and theatre producer. Teaches for several drama schools in Toronto and Mississauga, including TheatrePeace, Arts Express, Centauri Summer Arts Camp and Shakespeare in Action Project. His Canadian acting credits include Andrei in Chekhov's Three Sisters and Conspiracy Theorist in Draft89's production, FOE. He worked as an actor in Belgrade for seven years before coming to Toronto. He has over twenty shows, seven films, several theatre and radio shows as well as directing and producing work on his resume. Education: MFA in Acting, York University, Toronto; Diploma in Specialist Studies for Musical, University of Belgrade, 2004; Finished three years of English Language and Literature at Philology Faculty at University of Belgrade; BFA in acting, BK University, Theatre Department, Belgrade, 2002.

Biljana Djogo (Marketing Director)

Biljana Djogo is an Accountant who posses international experience in Accounting, Sales and Marketing. She is actively engaged in helping preparing many cultural events for Serbian community in Toronto. In the past two years she was helping and providing support to Pulse Theatre.
Through her engagement she helped preparing theatre shows such as: “Snow Queen”, “Captain John Peoplefox”, “Charlotte’s Web”, “Crazy Bugs”, “Women’s Talk”, “Little Princess”, "Cvetan" and many others.

Zorana Kydd (President of the Board of Directors)

Zorana Kydd is the founding Artistic Producer for BirdLand Theatre. Her producing work with BirdLand Theatre received
5 Dora Mavor Moore Awards for The Last Days of Judas Iscariot including the Outstanding Production. She divides her time between producing, performing and being film and theatre scholar. As an actor she appeared in The Pillowman by Martin McDonagh for Birdland Theatre and The Canadian Stage Company, BirdLand Theatre’s original production of The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, in the movie Neil as Major Tamara Lotsky, as Frankie in Frankie and Johnny at Jane Mallet Theatre and in mini-series ZOS: Zone of Separation. Miss Kydd holds Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Theatre from The University of Toronto and has trained at Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA) in London, England, New Actors Workshop and with Anne Bogart’s Sity Company in New York City.

Dr Radomir Baturan is a member of Association of Writers of Serbia and Republic Srpska. He was an associate of Institute for Art and Literature, while living in Serbia. After moving to Toronto he worked for Northrop Frye Centre and Centre for Russian and Eastern European Studies at the University of Toronto. His works have been published in all of the most important art and literature magazines in Serbia and Yugoslavia. He is the editor of “Ljudi govore” magazine, published in Toronto. He wrote and edited many books, some of which are: “Od Rastka do Rastka, Antologija srpskog metafizičkog pesništva“, Toronto 2006, „Kazivanja u Srbici“, Belgrade 2005, „Poet Rastko Petrović“, Toronto 2000, Milorad Miketić „Zagrizi u dlan“, Toronto 2000, „Romani Borislava Pekića“, Nikšić 1989, „Pitomuša“, Kruševac 1978 and „Mlađi pisci bratskih gradova“, Kruševac 1978.

Stefan Dzeparoski (Artistic Associate)

Education: MFA Theatre Directing, University of Alberta; MA Theatre Studies, University of Arts, Belgrade, Serbia; BFA Directing for Multi-media (Film, Theatre, TV and Radio), University of Arts, Novi Sad, Serbia. Before coming to Canada, Stefan was working in South-Eastern Europe - directing more than 50 documentaries, short films, and acting as assistant director in a few feature films. Stefan also directed for Serbia’s National Theatre and some small independent theatre companies exploring the exciting world of image based theatre, dramaturgy, and use of different media in theatre. He was Artistic/Administrative Assistant in Workshop west Theatre – Edmonton, Founding and Artistic Director of The System Theatre, Artistic Associate of Indie 5 season in Edmonton. He has thought classes and various workshops. at University of Alberta. Some of the memorable theatre credits include: a critically acclaimed production of “ROBERTO ZUCCO”, Studio Theatre, University of Alberta, 2008; “THE BODY OF A WOMAN”, Vault: Theatre of Invention, for Indie5 2008; “ANIME”, Lucid Productions-Edmonton International Fringe Festival 2008; “THE CREATION OF THE WORLD AND OTHER BUSINESS”, The System Theatre – Edmonton International Theatre Fringe Festival, 2007; “AFTER THE FALL” Studio Theatre, University of Alberta, 2008; “WHO’S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF” by Edward Albee, National Theatre Uzice for Belgrade International Theatre Festival (BITEF 2005). For his academic and professional achievements, he was award nominated and received several international and national scholarships and awards. In 2008, Stefan was nominated for an Elizabeth Sterling Haynes Award as Best Director.
